The Biography of "Motorhead" an English rock band starts in 1975, by Ian Fraser Kilmister a songwriter, bassist and singer, referred popularly as Lemmy. Kilmister formed the Motorhead band immediately after leaving Hawkwind in 1975. He recruited Pink Fairies, Lucas Fox (drummer) and Larry Wallis (guitarist). Since its inception, the artists have recorded several hits and toured with several lineups. Nevertheless, the band began on a slow start. There breakthrough came in 1977 with their eponymous album and appearance at the BBC. Motorhead became popular in the 1980s with the release of several single hits including "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith", "Ace of Spades" which took the bands to the UK Top-40 chart. "Overkill" and "Bomber" grew the reputation of the band. In 2006, the band won a Grammy for "Whiplash".

The influence spanning four decades:

In 1980, the group recorded "Ace of Spades" which reached number-4 on the UK albums chart according to their biography. Two years later, the team of three recorded the "Iron Fist" which reached the UK Top-10 chart. The "Iron Fist" allowed these artists to break through into the US album chart. At this juncture, Eddie Clarke left the band, and Lemmy replaced him with Brian Robertson (guitarist).

The new line- up released "Another Perfect Day" in mid- 1983, which reached the UK Top-20 and US Top-200. The album features two popular hits; "Shine" and "I Got Mine". Robertson left the band in the same year and in his place, 2- guitarists Michael Burston and Phillip Campbell took his place.

Motorhead has not slowed down into four decades as stated in its biography. The band has been able to record several studio albums. Furthermore, their songs have been featured in several movies and films and are in Music Record Shop. In 2010, the band recorded "Get Back In Line" contained in the popular album "The World is Yours".
